This customer reported air in his well pump line and air popping out through his kitchen faucet. He correctly believed that he a bad foot valve, which we replaced quickly to eliminate the problem.
A foot valve helps the pump stay primed so it can deliver water into your home. When it works correctly, it allows you to turn your pump on and off without having to worry that it will not stay primed and will not cause a clog. In many instances, though, the foot valve cannot be seen, so it can be difficult to determine whether or not it needs to be repaired or replaced. If you have any reason to believe your well pump’s foot valve has developed a problem, give us a call and we’ll check it out.
