Here at Jones Services, one of our main priorities is helping and being involved in our community! The students within this amazing community are the future and we are so grateful to get a chance to work alongside their great minds. This year, we contributed to two talented HVAC/Plumbing Students from Orange-Ulster Boces to participate in the New York State SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse!
Working with second-year student James Gersbeck from Minisink will compete in NYS Plumbing; and second-year student Matt Rajnert from Minisink will compete in NYS Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, was an amazing experience for the entire staff here at Jones. We were also given the opportunity to work alongside them as they went on ‘ride-alongs’ with our trained technicians to get an understanding of what a day in their chosen profession will be like.
John Moroney, the General Manager here at Jones Services, said “We are proud to sponsor the students. There are opportunities to work in our trades and SkillsUSA is a great way for the students to show off their talent and skills.”
We are looking forward to seeing what great things both James and Matt will continue to do, and are grateful to be involved in such an ambitious and close-knit community!
