Newburgh’s fifth Home Builders Blitz culminated on Saturday when the keys to a new home were turned over on Saturday to the Acevedo family, which will purchase the three-story mixed-use residence.
Over 500 volunteers worked for five days to construct the home at 123 Washington Street, which will also be used for Ignacio Acevedo’s photography business. “I can’t believe that I got to see our house being built in a week,” he said. “It felt like I was dreaming with my eyes open.”
